Heading down to NYC

Posted 08 Jan 2013 in News

I’m really excited to be heading down to NYC on Wednesday. I’ll be going to the Jazz Connect conference where I’ll get to meet and hang with some of the key ‘movers and shakers’ of the jazz world. And I’m also going to catch as many of the artists performing at the Winter Jazz Festival as I can. I’ve made a playlist of music for the long train ride down from Boston.

Here’s a bit of what I’ll be listening to to get myself in a New York state of mind:

Sarah Vaughn: Lullabye of Birdland
That Old Feeling: Chet Baker
Laura Nyro: New York Tendaberry
Elton John: Mona Lisas & Mad Hatters
Avenue C: Lambert Hendricks & Ross John
John Coltrane: Central Park West
Sting: Englishman in New York
George Benson: On Broadway
Stevie Wonder: Living for the City

Maybe we we’ll be able to connect at Jazz Connect? Let me know….
